We've been based at our iconic centre in South West London, nestled in the shadow of Battersea Power Station, since 1871. We're open every day and welcome visitors to come and meet us and our animals in need of new homes.

When planning your visit, please remember that Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are normally quieter so wait times will be reduced and you will get to spend more time meeting our dogs and cats.

HOW TO GET TO BATTERSEA LONDON

If you are visiting or looking to rehome an animal please use our main entrance on 4 Battersea Park Road, SW8 4AA.

If you are bringing in a stray animal or giving up your own pet for adoption please use the entrance of Sopwith Way.

Nearest train stations

Battersea Park (from Victoria or Clapham Junction) - three minutes’ walk
Queenstown Road (from Waterloo) - six minutes’ walk

Nearest tube

Vauxhall on the Victoria Line - 20 minutes’ walk along Nine Elms Lane

Travelling by car and parking

There is plenty of parking close by in some of the surrounding streets.

Disabled access

Step-free access is via the entrance on Battersea Park Road.
